Woman Given The Boot Strikes Back [Novelties]
02.11.2007
No one likes to get their car booted (usually the people who also don't like paying their parking tickets), but Lisa Martin of Sabastopol, Wales is especially averse to the procedure. After parking illegally, her Hyundai Accent was booted and she was charged 150 pounds. Upset because she felt the signs were not well displayed and the company was acting like a bunch of wankers, she decided to chain herself to the steering wheel of her car. A local even tried to cut the clamp off the car himself, but was fined by police. After two days of this, a local businessman paid the fine because he thought the woman was misrepresenting the town of Pontypool. [BBC]
